Tulare is situated in the leading agriculture producing county in California; Tulare County’s total gross production value for 2014 is $8 Billion. Milk continues to be the leading agriculture commodity in Tulare County; with a total gross value of $2.5 Billion.

Tulare FFA was chartered in 1928. Today Tulare FFA has grown to seven teachers and more than 800 students. Student from Tulare Union, Tulare Western and Mission Oak high schools create our program that is housed on a centrally located 90 acre facility. 60 acres produces a variety of field and row crops. Agriculture Education Model


Through agricultural education, students are provided opportunities for leadership development, personal growth and career success. Agricultural education instruction is delivered through three major components:

  • Classroom/Laboratory instruction (contextual learning)
  • Supervised Agricultural Experience programs (work-based learning)
  • Student leadership organizations (National FFA Organization, National Young Farmer Educational Association and National Post-secondary Agricultural Student Organization).
